Sex worker’s body found hidden under duvet

Man finds woman’s body in rented room in Petunia Road.

After recently receiving complaints from a tenant about a bad smell coming from another rented room in Petunia Road, Primrose, the landlord’s son went to investigate.

He had to force the door to the room open.

When inside he discovered the body of a woman on the floor covered with a duvet.

Primrose police were called to the scene where the complainant explained that the room was rented by a 47-year-old-man, who had not been seen for several days.

“The deceased was identified as one of the sex workers of Beaconsfield Avenue,” Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police, said.

Dedicated detectives were able to trace the accused and he was arrested.

The station commander Col Mduduzi Khuzwayo thanked the detectives for their hard work.

The accused will appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court soon.
