The South African Weather Service is warning residents of Gauteng to prepare for yet another heatwave.
It is reported that persistent high temperatures (medium to high 30s) are expected to hit the province until the end of the week, bringing with them high levels of discomfort.
In addition to hot tempertures the weather service has warned of:
- Severe Thunderstorms:
Severe thunderstorms with the possibility of large hail and damaging winds, in places over the West Rand district of Gauteng today.
- Veld Fire Conditions:
Potential veld fires due to the high temperatures.
