Children enjoy a day of love and laughter

Team Hope kicked off the festive season on a high with their successful Christmas party.

Team Hope SA has done it again, successfully hosting their fourth annual Christmas party.

The team has hosted the party each year for the charity homes they currently support.

A massive number of 850 children from Rekopane Inclusive Development Centre, Remme-Los and Dolphin House, Manger Care Centre, Parker Harriers, Ithembelihle Lsen School, as well as a number of private homes in the area attended the fun-filled event, which was held at Ithembelihle Lsen School, in Primrose East, recently.

The children were treated to a number of fun activities, including face painting, balloon modelling, singing, football freestyling, storytelling by NBCFC Production, dancing, time with some Disney characters, and an appearance by not one, but three Santas.

There was also no shortage of food, gifts or love, with the Team Hope volunteers catering to the children’s every need.

“The volunteers, organisers and sponsors did a remarkable job of making Team Hope SA’s Christmas party the success it was,” said event organiser Arveen Singh.

“Most importantly, it was these children who made the day a possibility.

“They came and poured out their love on everyone who came into contact with them, adding value to the life of each person who served them.”

The team thanked all the sponsors for their continued support.

“Without your sponsorships throughout the year we would not be able to help others in need,” Arveen said.

The team are not done spreading their Christmas cheer and are planning a trip to Durban on December 18.

“We eagerly look forward to the next Christmas party and invite anyone who is interested to join us,” Arveen said.
