Germiston cluster police members were recently promoted within the cluster.

Members who had long service in their current rank were promoted to the next rank.

On the day 16 constables were promoted to the rank of sergeant, and 39 sergeants were promoted to the rank of warrant officer.

Brig Phumla Mdlankomo, the Germiston cluster commander, and the specific station commanders of the members replaced their old ranks with their new ranks.

Mdlankomo then congratulated the members and spoke to them about their new higher ranking roles and their new responsibilities within the police service.
