Twenty-eight suspects nabbed for various crimes

Primrose police arrest 28 suspects in a week.

The Primrose police shared their latest arrest statistics.

Twenty-eight suspects were arrested in the Primrose area between October 26 and November 1.

Charges included:

  • Assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 3
  • Common assault: 3
  • Possession of drugs: 5
  • Possession of stolen property: 1
  • Malicious damage to property: 3
  • Dealing in liquor without a license: 1
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol: 4
  • Attempted murder: 1
  • Common robbery: 1
  • Kidnapping: 1
  • Housebreaking with the intent to steal: 1
  • Murder: 1
  • Theft: 1
  • Illegal immigrants: 2

The station commander of the Primrose Police Station, Col Mduduzi Khuzwayo, thanked everyone who contributed to the arrest of these suspects.

Most of the suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.

The illegal immigrants will be taken to Lindela for deportation.
