Keep your valuables safe

The Primrose police are warning the community to be careful when shopping in local malls.

“Take care when withdrawing money from ATMs and shopping at local malls,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

This warning was issued after police received information about a group of thugs who are targeting shoppers.

“The men rob the victims of their money and wallets.

“Be aware of the people around you and be sure you are not followed,” said Maome.

Community members are urged to make sure their wallets and other valuables are stored securely as the number of pick-pocketing cases has also increased in the area.

The community can contact the Primrose police on 011 842-0522 or the patrol vehicles on 071 675 6864/9 to report a crime.
