Eskom has not had to implement load shedding for the past six weeks.
“We do not anticipate that we will have to implement load shedding today or in the near future as the power system is currently stable,” the company said in a statement.
The company, however, continues to urge all South Africans to save electricity.
“Every little bit of savings goes a long way in assisting us to manage the demand and supply of electricity and to reduce the risk of load shedding,” Eskom said.
Eskom will continue to provide regular updates on the state of the power system through various media platforms.
