Remax cares for animals

Local SPCA gets a R10 000 boost.

Remax All Stars, in Lambton, showed generosity and kindness on Tuesday.

The real estate company donated R10 000 to the Germiston SPCA.

“Remax franchise has a foundation and throughout the year a portion of the commission goes to that trust fund,” said Remax agent, Cathy Valente.

“At the end of every year the money in the trust fund is donated to different charities; we have between 15 and 20 charities to which we donate.

“Remax also donated to the SPCA last year; it has become an annual occurrence.

“Remax is also challenging other companies to do the same.

“The SPCA needs the money to care for the animals.”

Valente, who is also the treasurer for the local SPCA, expressed gratitude for the donation.

“We appreciate what Remax has and is doing for the SPCA,” she said.

“The society relies solely on the community and donations.

“It is a great and generous donation that will help us a lot.

“Among other things, it will help with the sterilisation of animals.

“You find that there are people who can’t afford to have their animals sterilised and, in this regard we can diminish the number of animals suffering.”
