The Elsburg SAPS are on the hunt for three robbers after a business robbery in Elsburg.
“It is alleged that at 8.15pm, three men recently entered a shop in Voortrekker Road, Elsburg,” said Const Daphney Phooko, communications officer for the Elsburg SAPS.
“They demanded money from the complainant.
“One of the men was in possession of a firearm.”
The men forcefully took R2 000 in cash, two cellphones and an undisclosed number of cartons of cigarettes.
They then fled the scene.
As they were fleeing one of the men fired a shot into the ground which resulted in the injury of one of his accomplices.
The men escaped in a black VW Polo Classic, with an unknown registration number.
The SAPS are currently following up leads and the investigation is continuing.
No arrests have been made yet.
