Elspark house robbers on the run

Police hunt for house robbery suspects.

The Elsburg SAPS are hunting for three house robbers.

The men gained entry to a flat, through the open bathroom window, at 3.50am on Friday morning, in Patrick Street, Elspark.

“They proceeded to tie up the victims with ties and took jewellery, a Samsung LED flat screen TV, a silver and black Dell laptop and a silver Acer laptop.

“They then loaded them into a company vehicle, a Polo Vivo,” said Const Daphney Phooko, communications officer for the Elsburg SAPS.

All the suspects were armed — two were armed with pistols and one with a shotgun.

“No shots were fired and no injuries were sustained during the robbery,” said Phooko.

The total value of the items stolen is estimated to be R290 000.

The suspects escaped in the company vehicle but it was later discovered by a tracking company in Reiger Park.

The Elsburg police are continuing with the investigation.
