During a recent EMPD roadblock, in Primrose, officers arrested a man for the possession of an unlicensed firearm.
“The arresting officer explained that she had discovered the firearm in the pocket of a passenger in one of the vehicles she had stopped.
“She asked the accused to give her the firearm, which he did without objection,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
The man could not, however, produce a licence for the weapon.
He was arrested and taken to the Primrose Police Station.
