AACL hosts annual poster competition

Show how you care about animals.

The countdown has begun for the Animal Anti-Cruelty League’s (AACL) annual School Poster Competition.

All primary school pupils are reminded to show their support for the welfare of animals by entering the competition.

This year’s theme is “Picture the Message: Be Kind to Animals” and the closing date for entries is October 31.

Children have to create posters depicting ways in which people show compassion and kindness to animals, care for, and affect their lives in positive ways.

This poster must not just be a pretty picture, but a picture with a message.

A slogan or title may also contribute towards making the message clear.

A good poster grabs the attention.

You can enter as many times as you like.

Every entry must be accompanied by a donation for AACL.

All money will be used by the Animal Anti-Cruelty League in their work of caring and protecting animals.

For banking information call 011 435-0672.

Children can use any medium, for example paint/pastels/ink/crayons.

Paper size must be either A2 or A3.

Keep your poster bold, striking and original and have fun.

On your entry you must clearly print:

  • Your age, name and surname.
  • Entry category (1/2/3) and grade (where applicable).
  • School’s name and email address.
  • Your own and your school’s telephone number.

Posters will be exhibited on Facebook (www.facebook.com/AACLJHB) and the first prize winners will be announced on Facebook in November 2015.

Posters must be sent to AACL Johannesburg Society, P O Box 7, Rosettenville, 2130, Gauteng, or hand-delivered to 59 Alice Street, Regents Park, Johannesburg.

For more information, call 011 435-0672 or email to educate@aacl-jhbnb.co.za

Great prizes sponsored by Simmonds Hampton Trust are up for grabs in each category.
