Netcare 911 paramedics attended the scene of a shooting incident, at a complex in ,Germiston on Sunday, that left three people seriously injured.
The incident reportedly took place just after 9am.
It is claimed that a man opened fire on a woman, her 12-year-old daughter and a man at a complex in Libra Road, Sunnyrock Extention Four, however, exact details as to the cause of the shooting remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Chris Botha, media liaison officer for Netcare 911, said paramedics arrived on the scene and found the mother her daughter (12) and another man.
“The three had sustained gunshot wounds.
“The mother was in a serious condition while the young girl and man had sustained critical wounds,” he said.
“After paramedics stabilised the injured at the scene they airlifted the child to a hospital in Alberton while the other patients were transported by ambulance to hospital for the care that they required,” he concluded.
The GCN is still awaiting comment from the Gauteng provincial police, more details to follow.
