The power system is stable and no load shedding is currently taking place.
Heading into the weekend Eskom has warned that the risk of load shedding remains.
“We did warn earlier in the week that the power system would be especially tight until Sunday, September 20,” said the company in a statement.
“We continue to urge customers to use energy efficiently at all times especially air conditioners, geysers and pool pumps as they do use a lot of electricity.”
Eskom will continue to provide regular updates on the status of the power system through all the media platforms.
