The two hot topics of conversation on the Germiston City News Facebook page for the week, September 5 to 11 were:

1. Residents feel metro doesn’t care about water issue: https://on.fb.me/1ge7prc

The Germiston City News has been inundated with calls from furious Germiston residents, many of whom have been left without water since Tuesday, September 1.

What you had to say:

  •  Leigh Haarhoff, “It’s true the metro does not care. If they did actually care, this situation would have been avoided and never happened.”
  •  Gail Foley, “To say I have had enough is to say the least. Worst of all there is no feedback as to what the problem is or how long it’s going to last. Fire the incompetent lazy workers.”
  •  Melissa Guimbra, “Ready to jump off a building.”

2. Water restored in Germiston – says metro: https://on.fb.me/1Q5Olbc

Last Tuesday the metro informed residents and businesses in Germiston that technicians from the metro had restored the water supply in all areas of Germiston.

What you had to say:

  •  Nicolene Gouws, “Nope no water in Lambton.”
  •  Cindy Struwig, “Nope. Water still not on in Dinwiddie area.”
  •  Cindy Akhtar, “We have no problems of no water during the day, but it goes off in the evenings till early the next morning. As I’m typing this, we have no water.”
