Suspect nabbed when he attempts to pawn stolen generator

Primrose Housebreaking and Theft Task Team arrest man for housebreaking and theft.

A Belhambra Road home owner recently opened a case of housebreaking and theft at the Primrose Police Station, after his generator was stolen.

He explained to officers at the station that he had arrived home from work and discovered that the generator, valued at R3 000, had been stolen from his garage.

He believed that the intruder gained access by breaking the lock of a sliding door, which led into the garage.

Detectives from the Primrose Housebreaking and Theft Task Team arrested a 22-year-old man for the crime.

The arrest was made when he attempted to pawn the generator at a scrap yard in Jet Park, Boksburg.

The commander of the Primrose Police Station, Col Mduduzi Khuzwayo, thanked the team their hard work.

The suspect will appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court soon.
