Germiston’s water woes continue

Work is underway to locate the cause of the water loss in Germiston.

The metro wishes to inform residents and businesses in Germiston that technicians from the metro are currently carrying out investigations to locate the cause of the water loss in parts of Germiston.

The water loss experienced in Germiston follows the technical problems experienced at the Primrose and Russell reservoirs last week which resulted in parts of Germiston experiencing low pressure to no water supply.

“We appeal to residents to use water sparingly and store water for domestic purposes while investigations are being carried out,” said Themba Gadebe, spokesman for the metro.

The following areas are affected: Albemarle, Castleview, Hazel Park and Lambton.

“Three roving water tankers will be made available to the affected areas.

“The metro apologises for any inconvenience caused,” said Gadebe.
