When a Gerdview homeowner recently left his house to go to work, he never suspected it would be broken into.
“The victim alleged that he left his house in the morning and, when he came back at 4pm, he found several items had been stolen,” said communications officer for the Primrose police Sgt Styles Maome.
A Sony PlayStation, 40 games and two cellphones were reportedly taken from the house.
“Officers followed several leads, which led to an arrest,” added Maome.
A 23-year-old man was arrested and charged with housebreaking and theft.
He later appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where his case was postponed for plea and trial.
