Breaking News: Shoot-out on N12 leaves three seriously wounded

Alleged hijackers shot on N12 highway, five arrested.

Three alleged hijackers were shot and seriously wounded on the N12 highway, today, September 1, just before the Jet Park, Boksburg off-ramp.

According to the GCN’s sister newspaper the Boksburg Advertiser, five alleged hijackers have been arrested by the police, after the shoot-out.

“On arrival, paramedics found three men lying around a light motor vehicle which was parked on the side of the road,” said Russel Meiring, spokesman for ER24.

“Assessments showed that all three men had sustained numerous gunshot wounds and were all in a critical condition.

“Paramedics set out treating the patients and provided them with advanced life support interventions.

“Once treated, they were transported to Tembisa Hospital for urgent treatment.

“The cause of the shooting is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.”
