Man arrested for business burglary

Tools and computer stolen in business breaking.

The Primrose police recently arrested a 27-year-old man on charges of business burglary.

The arrest was made after the owner of a Main Reef Road business received a call saying that someone had broken into his building.

“The business owner told officers that he had raced to his business after the call,” said communications officer for the Primrose police, Sgt Styles Maome.

He later opened a case with the Primrose police.

The business owner explained that when he arrived at the scene he noticed a window had been forced opened and, upon further inspection of the property, he discovered that R1 100 in cash had been taken, along with a computer and tools.

“The value of the items stolen is estimated at R6 110,” Maome said.

Police followed several leads that lead to the accused.

He was arrested and has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where his case was postponed for trial and plea.
