Primrose police share their recent arrest statistics

Busy week for the Primrose police.

The Primrose police recently arrested 33 suspects for various crimes in the area, from August 17 to 23.

Crimes included:

Driving under the influence of alcohol: 2

Assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 3

Common assault: 2

Business robbery: 1

Housebreaking and theft: 1

Shoplifting: 1

Possession of a dangerous weapon: 1

Possession of unlicensed firearm: 1

Armed robbery: 1

Common robbery: 3

Possession of drugs: 2

Theft: 2

Malicious damage to property: 2

Reckless and Negligent driving: 2

Warrant of arrest: 3

Illegal immigrants: 9

The Primrose SAPS station commander, Col Mduduzi Khuzwayo, thanked everyone who contributed to the arrests.

Most of the suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.

The illegal immigrants will be sent to Lindela, for deportation.
