Nishana places fourth in Mrs India South Africa contest

Local beauty wins Miss Congeniality and Miss Fitness titles at top competition.

Primrose beauty Nishana Sannydav (36) placed fourth overall in the Mrs India South Africa competition (GCN, July 24).

The pageant was held on August 15, and the 14 finalists gathered at the Sibaya Casino and Entertainment World, in Durban.

“It was very nice, a phenomenal experience indeed,” said Sannydav.

“We had a week of working with different people, training and adventure, like the Big Rush Urban Adrenaline Jump at the Moses Mabida Stadium.

“That was an awesome experience; I raised my bar of adventure and conquered my fear of heights.

“This is a true stepping stone for married women, it gave us a chance to be young again and we had a chance to show youngsters how it is done.”

“I had my sights set on being Mrs India South Africa 2015, however, I also appreciate that being fourth in a national competition of this magnitude is a great achievement on its own,” she added.

“I did exceptionally well in all my segments and activities; I won Miss Congeniality and Miss Fitness.

“I did my best and gave it my all.

“Among other things, I will remember and miss bonding with all those beautiful women; I would wake up every morning, excited that I was to spend another day with all the beautiful souls.

“Even though we were vying for the number one spot, we made friends.

“It is for that reason that I will continue to encourage women to do things that bring out the best in them.”
