Update: Murder accused’s trial postponed

Man accused of killing young boys, man appears in court again.

The man (29) arrested for the murder of the two young boys found in a BMW in Germiston and the murder of a 42-year-old man, in Naturena, appeared in court for the start of his trial, last Monday (August 17).

He appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrates Court, accused of murdering Bonolo Africa (11) and Thato Africa (2), after their bodies were discovered at 6pm on Wednesday, July 8, in a white BMW 316i, by members of the Germiston SAPS.

The man was arrested on July 9, in Naturena, after the body of 42-year-old Vincent Africa was found in his home in the suburb.

Mondeor SAPS communications officer Const Elizabeth Munguni said: “The case has been postponed to September 2 for further investigation.

“He was not asked to plead and was refused bail.”
