EMPD officers and members of the Ekurhuleni Disaster and Emergency Management Services (DEMS) were called to the scene of a head-on collision on Tuesday, August 11. A white Volkswagen Polo Playa and a truck with a trailer were involved in the incident, that occurred on Elsburg Road.

2. Car torn apart on R21, leaving five dead: https://bit.ly/1gZXDtE

Five people were killed in a collision during the early hours of Thursday morning, on the R21 south near the Nelmapius off-ramp. Shortly before 2am paramedics arrived on the scene where they found an Audi Q7 lying on its roof and another vehicle ripped into several pieces.

A man recently opened a case against a 28-year-old he claims stole his motorbike from his Sunnyridge home’s driveway.

4. EMPD, SAPS nail hijackers, recover vehicle and firearm: https://bit.ly/1TSLjNL

The Germiston Metro Police responded to a look-out given by the SAPS, last Friday, for a vehicle hijacked in Kroonstad. Following a six-minute, harrowing, high-speed chase on the R59 and R557, the culprits were cornered and arrested in Walkerville.
