Primrose police share their arrest statistics

Busy week for Primrose police.

The Primrose police have shared their recent arrest statistics.

Thirty-six suspects were arrested for various crimes in the Primrose area from July 29 to August 2.

Crimes included:

  •  Theft: 1
  •  Driving under the influence of alcohol: 3
  •  Assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 3
  •  Perjury: 1
  •  Fraud: 5
  • Shoplifting: 1
  • Domestic violence: 1
  • Possession of suspected stolen property: 3
  • Possession of stolen gold bearing material: 3
  • Warrant of arrest: 2
  • Illegal immigrants: 12

The Primrose SAPS station commander Col Mduduzi Khuzwayo, thanked everyone who contributed to the arrests.

Most of the suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.

The illegal immigrants will be sent to Lindela for deportation.
