Breaking news: Three bust out of Primrose police cells

Three men escape from police custody by breaking through a wall.

Three men have escaped from the Primrose Police Station’s holding cells.

During the early hours of Thursday morning, the Primrose police shift commander discovered that the men had escaped by breaking through the wall under one of the windows in a holding cell.

“They have not been rearrested as yet,” said WO André de Jager, communications officer for the Germiston cluster SAPS.

The men were in the cells after being arrested for possession of dagga, housebreaking and theft and business robbery, respectively.

“It is unknown at this stage what they used to break through the wall,” de Jager said.

An investigation has been launched and a manhunt has begun for the escaped men.
