The awards ceremony for Africa’s Most Influential Women and Men in Business and Government and Titans of Africa took place at the Vodacom Dome in Midrand recently.
The awards ceremony was attended by business leaders and government officials throughout the continent. This mix made for a good audience as CEO Global announced the women and men who were recognised in various economic sectors across Africa.
Margaret Hirsch was announced as the Most influential Women in the Retail and Wholesale Industry in South Africa and the SADC region. She was also given a lifetime achievement award for being one of the most influential women in business in South Africa, along with Prof Karen Sliwa, Dr Mary Seely, Angela Dick and Maryke Labuschagne
This was the first of eight events to take place in various regions of Africa. These events aim to celebrate the achievements of women and men who are advancing African economies and communities. Regional winners will be invited to a final event which will take place on October 21.
CEO partners in excellence include SAMSA, Air Mauritius, Bigen Africa, MEIBC, Hilton Hotel Group, Egypt Air and CEOS Technologies.
