Teenager arrested for drug possession

Man arrested for drug possession in Rietfontein Road.

Drugs continue to be a problem in Primrose.

A hot-spot for drugs, identified by the Primrose police, is Rietfontien Road.

While officers from the Primrose Police Station were patrolling the area, recently, they noticed a white Volkswagen Golf parked on the wrong side of the road.

Police approached the vehicle to investigate, and found three occupants in the vehicle.

Officers asked the driver to get out of the vehicle and, as he did so, a plastic bag containing a white substance, believed to be drugs, fell onto the seat.

The 19-year-old man was arrested and taken to the Primrose Police Station.

He has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where his case was postponed for plea and trial.
