Five arrested for theft

Men steal food from local shop.

The Primrose police recently arrested five men on charges of theft, after they allegedly stole food from a local shop.

Police were first alerted to the crime when the shop’s owner noticed that stock was going missing.

“The employer explained that the five men, aged between 22 and 25, who were employed by him to stock shelves, would take food off the shelves while they worked,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

The owner called officers to his store.

After checking the shop’s camera footage, officers arrested the five men and transported them to the Primrose Police Station pending their appearance in the Germiston Magistrates Court.
