On Wednesday, an injured woman and child were taken by ambulance to the Life Roseacres Clinic, following an accident at the corner of Beaconsfield Avenue and Cactus Road.
The accident involved a Peugeot and a Nissan bakkie.
Ekurhuleni Disaster and Emergency Management Services (DEMS) personnel on the scene told a GCN journalist that the woman and child had been travelling up Cactus Road in the Peugeot when they collided with the bakkie, travelling along Beaconsfield Avenue towards the N12.
It is unclear at this stage what exactly happened, and an investigation has been launched to determine who was at fault.
