The Primrose police’s housebreaking and theft task team were recently congratulated for their hard work.
The team of specialised detectives managed to secure a conviction in a case of housebreaking which took place in Roos Street, in Dawnview.
“Due to the effectiveness of the task team, the suspect in this case was linked to another three crimes,” explained communications officer for the Primrose police, Sgt Styles Maome.
On July 10, the accused was found guilty and sentenced in the Germiston Magistrates Court.
“The prisoner will serve seven years direct imprisonment,” Maome said.
The acting station commander, Lieut-Col France Lepadima, thanked the task team members for their hard work.
