Man nabbed selling suspected stolen goods

A 27-year-old man was recently arrested by the Primrose police for the possession of suspected stolen goods.

This 27-year-old man was recently arrested by the Primrose police for the possession of suspected stolen property.

Working on a tip-off, officers traveled to the Makause informal settlement to investigate claims that the man was selling stolen property.

Upon their arrival on the scene, officers found a man attempting to sell a wheelbarrow, spade, ladder and hammers.

He was asked to produce proof of purchase for the items he was selling.

“He could not produce any proof of purchase, instead he alleged that he found the items near the road,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

He was arrested and detained at the Primrose Police Station.
