Station commander of the Primrose SAPS, Col Mduduzi Khuzwayo, confirmed the death of a man on June 30. The 59-year-old man died in Simon Street, in Rustivia, after he was attacked by an alleged housebreaker.

2. Breaking News: ATM bombers target Elsburg ATM: https://bit.ly/1J99or2

ATM bombers targeted the Absa ATM outside the Spar in Voortrekker Street, Elsburg, in the early hours of Friday, June 26. Const Daphney Phooko, communications officer for the Elsburg SAPS, told the GCN the bombers planted two bombs. One exploded, while the second failed to detonate. The bombing took place at 1.30am.

3. Early morning assault leaves man dead: https://bit.ly/1R18QdZ

A man died following an assault incident in Simon Street in Rustivia, in the early hours of June 30. Netcare 911 paramedics received the call for assistance at around 2.30am and upon arrival on scene found the lifeless body a 59-year-old man lying on the ground.

4. Look out for these markers, says CPF: https://bit.ly/1Pfb0TF

The Din-Al-View CPF has issued a list of markers they believe criminals are using. “Please look out for these markers and remove them only if you are certain it is safe to do so. If possible, call a CPF member out to check before removing, or take a photo and let us know. Criminals may mark your home to pass on information to other criminals,” said Jane Dijkman, the public relations officer for the CPF.
