The club is proud of its achievements over the past 50 years of service to the needy in the community.
The Lions Club of Germiston serves the needy in various ways, for example, food for those families who have fallen on rough times, eye testing and the supply of spectacles for the sight-impaired and generally caring where they can for the underprivileged.
Funds are raised by supplying catering at athletics events, at the Germiston Stadium, where members work hard and enjoy fellowship at the same time.
The club is in need of new members and is appealing to people between the ages of 20 and 50 to take up the challenge to bring in a fresh new vibe and ideas to the club.
