The GCN spoke to the new presidents to find out what their plans are for the club.

Ramdari, new Germiston Rotary Club president, said: “I will be using the district goals to plan our own goals; this has not been defined yet.

“The main things I plan on focusing on are improving membership numbers, improving the number of projects in which we are involved and making the club more visible to the public.”

Germiston Rotary’s current projects include a solar project, work with Child Welfare and Rotary’s annual cycle race.

New Rotary Anns’ president Hodgson explained that the Rotary Anns plan to carry on with the projects in which they are currently involved.

Projects include several feeding schemes, work with the Elandsvallei Home for the Aged, as well as the Bedfordview Humanitarian Centre.

“We will also get involved in new projects should the opportunity present itself,” Hodgson said.
