Helping families in need keep warm this winter

Child Welfare gets some more warmth.

Germiston Child Welfare has received additional winter warmer support from the staff of Karbochem.

Staff from Karbochem handed over blankets to the society last Thursday, to distribute among the many needy families in the community.

The employees collect and donate to a charity annually, and this year Germiston Child Welfare was fortunate to be chosen as the beneficiary.

“On behalf of all the children we support and the families we serve, we thank the employees of Karbochem for their donation and making a difference in this manner,” said Barbara Bouwer, director of Germiston Child Welfare.

“We are appealing to the community to assist with soup, tinned food and maize meal to distribute to families this winter.

“If you are cleaning out cupboards and have excess clothing, either for adults or children that we can use, please deliver to 28 Kinross Street, Germiston South or call us on 011 825-3655 to arrange for collection.

“Our clothing stock is low and would appreciate the support.”
