Some residents will be without water this Saturday

Maintenance work will leave some Germiston residents without water.

In its continuous efforts to provide stable and reliable infrastructure to consumers, the metro will be carrying out necessary maintenance work in Germiston.

In order to make way for the work, there will be a planned water supply interruption that will affect Germiston and its surrounding areas on Saturday, June 20, from 8am to 5pm.

The affected areas are:

  • Wadeville.
  • Roodekop.
  • Klippoortjie.

Water tankers will be made available in the following areas:

  • Blauwbok Avenue and Nerine Road, Roodekop.
  • Leondale Road and Luthando Street, Roodekop.
  • Tortoise and Dragon streets, Klippoortjie.
  • Osborn Road Vehicle Testing Ground, Wadeville.
  •  Osborn and Rendel roads, Wadville.

Residents are encouraged to store water for domestic use and ensure taps are properly closed while maintenance work is being carried out.

The metro apologises for any inconvenience to be caused.
