Man attempts to sell stolen clothes

Twenty-one year old arrested for housebreaking and theft.

A 21-year-old man was recently arrested by the Primrose police at the Makause informal settlement in Primrose.

The man was arrested while detectives were on patrol in the area.

“Our detectives saw a man selling expensive clothes at a very low price. They became suspicious and approached the suspect to question him,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

During the interrogation it was revealed that the accused had broken into a shack and stolen clothes and food.

The man was asked to take police to the shack he had stolen the goods from.

Officers discovered that the owner of the shack had already opened a case of housebreaking and theft with the Primrose police.

The suspect was arrested, charged with housebreaking and theft and detained at Primrose Police Station.
