A 32-year-old Makause informal settlement resident was recently arrested by the Primrose police on charges of domestic violence.
The incident was reported to police by the victim who alleged that she was sleeping at her boyfriend’s house when he suddenly told her to leave.
“She claims the man pushed her out of the house and locked the door behind him before running after her.
“When he caught up with her, the victim claims he stabbed her with a sharp object,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
Officers travelled to the man’s house where he was arrested.
He has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where his case was postponed for plea and trial.
