Number your house – says CPF

Make reaction time quicker by clearly numbering your home.

The Din-Al-View CPF is appealing to residents of Dinwiddie, Albemarle, Castleview and Norton Small Farms to ensure that their house numbers are clearly visible from the road.

The CPF feels this will enable not only CPF members, who are patrolling the area, but all emergency services to easily identify the houses in the case of an emergency.

“We often need to assist at houses, and find that valuable time is wasted looking for the number of the house, all because the number is not displayed visibly.

“Next time you arrive home, especially after sunset, check that your house number is clearly visible, over the years paint can fade, and plant growth can easily obscure the number,” said Jane Dijkman, Din-Al-View CPF’s public relations officer.
