Government shares progress made after xenophobic attacks

MEC of Community Safety and Minister of Police speak to residents of Ekurhuleni informal settlements.

Minister of Police Nathi Nhleko and MEC of Community Safety Sizakele Nkosi-Malobane were invited to speak at the imbizo held at the Germiston City Hall, recently.

The two spoke to community members from informal settlements from across Ekurhuleni about the recent xenophobic attacks that shocked the country.

Nhleko told those in attendance of the efforts the police had made to bring about peace, during and since the attacks.

Nkosi-Malobane praised community members for not attacking foreign nationals once they returned to their communities.
