A 31-year-old man was recently arrested by the Katlehong police and charged with the murder of his girlfriend.
It is alleged that the 23-year-old victim was stabbed more than 20 times on March 28, following a heated argument with the accused.
She was pronounced dead on the scene.
The suspect disappeared after the incident and had been on the run for more than a month before handing himself over to police.
The man will appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court soon.
