St Dunstan’s Music Foundation hosts musical spectacular

Singing for joy.

The St Dunstan’s Music Foundation is set to host a music spectacular on Saturday, May 23.

The “Sing for Joy” concert will be held at St Dunstan’s Cathedral, in Woburn Avenue, Benoni, and will be the foundation’s 13th production.

The first was staged in 2003.

This year’s concert is, once again, produced and directed by Malcolm and Janet Chalmers, from Germiston, and the pair are handling everything from conducting to playing the organ.

This musical experience promises to be a most enjoyable concert with a choir of approximately 80 members singing beautiful and familiar sacred and secular numbers from the First and Second World War.

The choir will be accompanied by a brass band at each performance, as well as guest performances by the St Dunstan’s College and Prep School choirs, and the award winning Benoni High School Pipe Band.

Tickets can be purchased from Daniella’s Jewellers, Farrarmere Square, Benoni, from the St Dunstan’s Cathedral directly or from Barbara Arthur, who can be contacted on 011 849-2886 or 083 306 8130.

For more information call Margie Cary on 082 852 0278.
