Four arrested for public violence

Men break into Delport spaza shop.

The Primrose police recently arrested four suspects on charges of public violence and business robbery.

The four men, aged between 29 to 42 years old, were arrested at the Delport informal settlement after the victim reported the crime to officers.

He alleged that a group of people came to his spaza shop carrying crow bars.

They broke into the shop and took his fridge, valued at R4 000, and groceries, valued at R2 000.

Using the description given by the victim, police were able to trace the four men.

All of the suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where their cases were postponed for plea and trial.
