Mini disposal sites which will take your building rubble

Where can the community dump their building rubble?

The Germiston City News was recently contacted by a community member desperately looking for somewhere to dump his building rubble.

He explained that he has been sent from pillar to post, with no one able to give him a clear answer as to where he could dispose of his rubble.

The following mini disposal sites will accept building rubble, less than one ton, free of charge:

  •  Marlands – Keurboom Street;
  •  Elspark – Heidelberg Road;
  •  Leondale – corner of Smit and Nederveen roads.

The community can also contact the Germiston or Bedfordview waste management depot to provide a bulk container, at the council’s tariffs, for rubble more than one ton.

  •  Germiston depot contact details: 011 999-1267 or 999-8015
  •  Bedfordview depot contact details : 011 999-0915.
