Prim Villa a place of hope

Caring for those who need it most.

Prim Villa, in Cydonia Road, Primrose Hill, specialises in the care of people with Alzheimer’s and other related dementias.

The home falls under the umbrella of the Methodist Homes, which has the mission “Providing affordable, secure and affordable accommodation and services to the elderly.”

It is the home’s aim to provide a safe, secure home-from-home environment, where residents can live with dignity.

Family members are encouraged to become involved in the care of their loved ones and the activities of the home, to further enhance the quality of life of residents while they are in Prim Villa’s care.

The qualified nursing staff and caregivers in the frail care facility understand that residents suffering from Alzheimer’s and dementia often feel hopeless.

Not only do they bathe, dress, feed and take care of all their needs, they are on hand 24 hours a day, seven days per week, to give love and attention to and make life as comfortable as possible for the residents.

This means peace of mind for residents and their loved ones alike.

At Prim Villa, physical and mental stimulation for residents through occupational and music therapy is also provided.

Regular visits by a hairdresser and podiatrist ensure that residents are well cared for and content.

There is a communal dining room and laundry on site for the convenience of residents.

“We understand that the decision to admit a loved one to frail care is a difficult one,” said manager of Prim Villa Sharon Flint. .

“We also know that most elderly people have to make ends meet on fixed and often declining incomes.

“Bearing this in mind, our fees have been structured to offer quality service at a reasonable price.”

Prim Villa is a place of hope, where all the staff consider even the smallest achievement by a resident as a personal triumph – that is why they constantly encourage each and every resident and treat them with love and respect.

Prim Villa recently won the trophy for Most Improved Home and tied with Arbor for the trophy for Best Home of the Year 2013/2014 of all the Methodist Homes.
