Reward offered for return of Kagiso Mokwena

R50 000 reward for information on missing 6-year-old Kagiso Mokwena whereabouts.

Six-year-old Kagiso Mokwena has now been missing since Friday, January 9, in Katlehong.

It is reported that Mokwena disappeared at around midday after, it was alleged, an unknown woman called him by name at the park where he was playing with friends.

At the time of his disappearance, Capt Augustinah Selepe, from the Gauteng Provincial Police, explained that police had no leads as to where the child could be.

“We pleading with members of the public to assist us; there is no way that no one has no information about the whereabouts of this child,” she said.

A R50 000 reward is now being offered for any information that can positively lead to the whereabouts of the six-year-old.

Mokwena was last seen wearing brown trousers, a green golf shirt and purple sneakers with yellow laces.

Gauteng police appeal to the community to play their part in the fight against crime that harms the vulnerable.

Anyone with information is requested to call the investigating officer, Const Abram Mathibela, on 083 964 9866 or 076 356 4058, or the Crime Stop Line on 08600 10111 or SMS 32211.

“You can choose to remain anonymous,” Selepe said.
