The Katlehong cluster stations arrested a total of 75 suspects over the Easter weekend (April 3 to 6)
The Peseka Operation was hosted by officers from the EMPD, as well as officers from Dawn Park, Vosloorus, Zonkizizwe, Eden Park, Tokoza, Katlehong North and Katlehong South police stations.
This operation saw stop-and-searches and road blocks conducted in different areas throughout the cluster stations policing districts.
Suspects were arrested on a number of offences, including assault, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, theft, housebreaking, fraud, arson, robbery, absconding, possession of counterfeit money, possession of suspected stolen goods, possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, shoplifting, driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of a suspected stolen vehicle, drinking alcohol in public and possession of drugs.
The suspects will appear in the Palm Ridge and Vosloorus Magistrates Courts soon.
