Beware of identity fraud

Fraud on the rise.

The Primrose police have noted a rise in the number of identity fraud cases being reported.

With this in mind, they wish to warn the community to be careful when giving out their personal information, including their ID numbers.

“We wish to warn members of the community of the rising number of fraud cases in our area, especially those who are sending money via money markets in retail stores,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

The warning is not limited to individuals; companies are also warned to verify messages they receive via social media, to deposit money into new accounts.
