In case you missed them these are the top three stories from the past week.

The top three stories on www.germistoncitynews.co.za for the week of March 14 to 20 were:

1.Where are the hijacking hot spots in Germiston?

A list of several hijacking hot spots throughout Gauteng. The article also gave the community an opportunity to weigh in and name hijacking hot spots in Germiston which they felt should make this list. There was also some simple safety tips mentioned which are often overlooked.

2.Baby born in bathroom.

Elsburg resident Magda Bouwer was left in a state of shock when she went into labour in the bathroom of her flat. Her screams for help were her by Bettie Zulu, the property’s domestic worker, who bravely helped deliver Zandrie Vasagie. Staff at the Bertha Gxowa Hospital were impressed that everything had gone so smoothly, with nothing wrong with the baby girl, given the circumstances.

3. Police terrorise young woman.

Sunnyridge resident Anika Doussy has opened a case against the Minister of Police. This comes after she was thought to be a “missing girl” by officers from the Primrose Police Station. Doussy was picked up by the officers and treated badly.
